Today I got hit smack in the face with all sorts of things that I've taken for granted. Let's start with college. Today I visited my alma mater, Biola University, and was totally overwhelmed by how beautiful and peaceful it is. My years at Biola flew by and I wish I had soaked them in better.
I was genuinely excited to walk up and down the aisles of books at the library. Go ahead and rip on me. I LOVE books. (Fiance thinks it's pretty funny that books can make me so happy...) But seriously, there were rows and rows of great Christian resources that I wish I could find in Spanish. Then I went to an awesome chapel service, led by my mentor, that fed my soul. Soul-feeding is something I have really taken for granted.
I'm glad God placed me in Ecuador. If He hadn't maybe I wouldn't be grateful for all the things I've taken for granted...
